The Forum “Future of Intellectual Nation” Takes Place

The Forum brought together the best scholarship holders of Bolashak program, students of Nazarbayev University, Nazarbayev Intellectual School and Scientific Practical Center Daryn. Among them was Dinara Saduakassova, a chess under-14 world champion, 2011 silver world champion – Anara Molkenova, a graduate of University College London (UCL), Nanotechnologies master’s student – Maksut Baktybayev, a graduate of Imperial College London, renowned for his projects and research in agriculture, and many others who have distinguished themselves by their talent and gift.

The Forum was opened by the Minister of Education and Science of the RK B. Zhumagulov. During his speech, the Minister stressed the important achievements in education and science, success of talented and educated youth. Also, the Minister shared on the implemented reforms in education, equipping and introducing new advanced technologies from kindergartens to institutions of higher education and scientific laboratories of the country, systematic, conceptual introduction of transformation into Balapan projects, Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools, Scientific Practical Centers Daryn.

Participants of the Forum shared their achievements in various areas of science, expressed their limitless gratitude for rendered support of the state in receiving high-end education in the best academic institutions of the world.

The key occasion of the event was the Address of intellectual youth to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbayev:

“Dear Nursultan Abishevich!
On the eve of 20 years of our Independence we are addressing to you on behalf of all youth of Kazakhstan!
We, young generation of Kazakhstanis, are aware of how invaluable your contribution is to the implementation of the centuries-old dream of our nation – creation and development of independent state!
We are proud that we live in the sovereign, prosperous republic, which has entered into the three states with the fastest developing economy.
The system of search and development of talented and gifted youth created owing to your initiative and full support has become the foundation for forming a new intellectual nation of the country.
Nursultan Abishevich, your call for implementation of the project “Intellectual Nation - 2020” has become a guide to action for all Kazakhstani youth!
We promise you that all our obtained knowledge and skills will be directed towards the implementation of your assignments for the benefit of development of Independent Kazakhstan!
You can rely on us!"

The honorable guests included the Head of Prime Minister’s Office of RK Abdrakhimov G.R., senators, heads of state authorities, rectors of higher academic institutions of the country, former ministers of education including from the moment of gaining independence, scientists, businessmen, cultural activists, captain of Olympics boxing team of Kazakhstan, two-time world champion Serik Sapiyev.

Concerts were given by Bolashak scholarship holders, a graduate of London’s Royal Academy, a student of Academy of Music at La Scala theatre, Italy (was included in the Guinness Book of Records) Mariya Mudryak and other gifts of ours who managed to conquer a huge audience with their arts despite their young age and who already perform on the world’s known concert stages in the United States, Spain, Italy, Austria, UK, Germany, etc.

JSC Center for International Programs was created by the decree of the Government of the RK No. 301 of 4 April 2005. The core objectives of the Center: administration of Bolashak scholarship, training, retraining, skills development, and targeted fulfillment of staffing needs of the country as part of the scholarship. The Center is one of the major national operators in education services.

Bolashak Association was created by first graduates in 2001. It is symbolical that the Association celebrates its first jubilee in the year of 20 years of Independence of the country. As part of public association, program graduates hold meetings with youth, teach and read lectures in universities, implement charity projects for gifted children, orphanage children, and create conditions for employment of youth in regions. This year has seen 200 socially important events held by Bolashakers.
